How to use the Online Stopwatch

Does the stopwatch keep running if I switch tabs?

Yes. It measures elapsed time from the clock rather than counting display updates, so the time stays correct even if the tab is in the background.

What is the difference between a lap time and a split time?

A lap time is the time for one lap alone. The total is the cumulative time since you started. This tool shows both.

Will the time be lost if I refresh the page?
