Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate the number of days between two dates?
Subtract the earlier date from the later one. This tool does it for you and counts leap days correctly. By default the start day is counted and the end day is not.
Does the calculator include the end date?
Only if you tick the box. Without it, Monday to Wednesday is 2 days. With it, the same span is 3 days.
Does it count weekdays only?
The main result counts every day. The weekdays figure below it counts Monday to Friday. Public holidays are not excluded.
Can I enter the later date first?
Yes. If the end date is before the start date, the tool swaps them and tells you.
How many days are in a year?
A common year has 365 days and a leap year has 366. Leap years add February 29.
